It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot mop vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective however this is something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic cleaner and mop vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
