The Joie Roomie Glide is a large bedside cot crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth gliding motion helps to soothe your baby to sleep. Its innovative features ensure that you can monitor them without leaving your own bed.

The cot's sliding side panel lifts and lowers with the press of a button, making it easy to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost every size bed. Additionally, it includes adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's placed at just the right level.

The cot is padded, has mesh sides that allow for more the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It is also wipeable which means you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted bed sheet that is suitable for a crib.

Unlike some other bedside cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can be used as a standalone crib even when it's not attached to the bed. It comes with a variety of wonderful features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

It is crucial to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months old. You will need to purchase a larger crib. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she particularly liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was an affordable price for a cot with the most innovative features. She liked how it looked in her bedroom and believed its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it could create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside cot co sleeper crib designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It has a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your little one or get them out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and also for travel.

It's made of soft materials and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabric options that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely clicking into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support contact number should you have any problems.

The CoZee crib has all the features you'd expect from a crib to your bed, including the ability to connect it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally, there is an inclined feature that can be used to aid infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine washable, a must with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice to keep your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it has a wide array of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers loved the easy access to the side panel that can be moved up and down at the touch of the button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lowered by itself however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will stay down if it is properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feeds.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases or beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also very spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's very mobile and can be moved from room room with ease. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus if you need to transport it. The only issue our test subjects found was that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of a bedside cot wooden crib that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It is designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed and transform into a chic cot when your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your infant.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other models. Its dual-view mesh side panels and the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to construct and was fairly straightforward. The only downside to the instructions was that some pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In co-sleeping mode we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's also great for those who wish to avoid the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down for a nap.

During our tests we observed the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be particularly beneficial in getting babies to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a huge selling point for our tired test moms. Although it doesn't rock or have additional features such as a sound machine the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features make it a great addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
