Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station features an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 best robot vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mowing capabilities. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition, the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

In contrast to other robots that are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuum best is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other best robot hoover vacuums and mop models and could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.

There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of relying on the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
