iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

This robot vacuum is not scared to take on the stairs, unlike other models. But, just like any other mop or vacuum it is prone to getting blocked by debris such as stray tennis shoes, ribbons and yarn, play jewelry or other stray objects.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms and also create zones of no-go areas. You can also monitor the progress of your mops and their battery status.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo j7+ is a robot vacuum and mop that combines smart mapping capabilities of iRobot and its ability to deal with spills. The idea is to not spray water onto the rug and the Combo j7+ does well at this in my testing. The dreame robot vacuum backed off when it saw the rug, and didn't attempt to cross it, even though I moved the rug around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which can be easily removed and filled. This makes it much easier to use than the mop pads on many other 2-in-1 robotic arm. It also makes use of iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology, which is more advanced than other systems of this type.

iRobot Combo i5

This multitasker is designed to mop and vacuum with one machine. The vacuuming process is completed with a specialised bin which can accommodate up to 60 days worth of debris. According to iRobot this will reduce the amount of dust released into the air. The i5+ also has dual multi-surface rubber brush heads and Power-Lifting Suction to tackle dirt, iRobot robot vacuum dust pet hair, and staining on floors. Simply replace the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're set to mop.

The i5+ runs iRobot OS and is smarter as you use it. It will learn your floorplan, creating an Smart Map that remembers room names and iRobot robot vacuum your specific cleaning preferences. You can then instruct it to clean a space or set a schedule for a complete level of your home through the iRobot app.

iRobot has integrated the ability to recognise household clutter, including cords, shoes, toys and bags. It will then automatically stop and return to the docking station, allowing it time to recharge and finish the cleaning task later. It is compatible with voice commands like Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands around 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good choice for homes with carpets and hard floors. It uses intelligent mapping and avoids obstacles to efficiently clean. It also offers various mopping options that include a powerful SmartScrub feature that can help clean tough staining. Additionally, it is able to create No Mop Zones to ensure that carpets aren't being sucked up, and the dock automatically refills mopping solutions. This model is more expensive than the previous Roomba Combo J7+ but comes with more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies pressure to the floor to provide a deeper clean and removes tough stains. It also gets under furniture and into tight spaces to provide a more thorough cleaning. The Combo j5+ can also be used with the iRobot Clean Base to automatically eliminate dirt.

It utilizes Smart Mapping to navigate your home 7x quicker than before5 and locate rooms with 90 95% accuracy6. It can even create an entire map of your home, allowing you to clean everywhere you want after just one step. It also recognizes and avoids objects like cords, backpacks pet toys, kitty litter boxes, socks, shoes, and more for worry-free cleaning. You can schedule cleanings for your home and remotely control your robot with the iRobot App.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 is an upgraded version of the original Roomba i3. It still has a HEPA-filter to eliminate allergens and has the same fantastic external dust compartment, however it now supports smart mapping. You can now create zones that are not accessible to prevent the vacuum from vaccuming the same areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus still has a bunch of other excellent features like its advanced cleaning system, 10x power-lifting suction, and a three-stage cleaning process. You can design cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also control your robot via your voice assistant to begin or stop cleaning. It can also track the unique layout of your home to provide personalized cleaning habits and schedule. It utilizes advanced mapping sensors to guide you through hardwood and carpet floors, and learns how to clean your home to maximize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 robot vacuum and mop is the most recent product from iRobot. It integrates iRobot's advanced floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect pick for homes with hard floors as well as a few rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 has a combo system that allows it to switch between mopping or vacuuming by pressing one button. It also comes with iRobot’s advanced navigation technology. iRobot Combo i4

This iRobot robot vacuum and mop is great for anyone who wants to clean and tidy home without having to lift a hand. It is compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can use voice commands to control it. It comes with an docking station that has low profile and occupies only a tiny space. It also has a movable dirt compartment. The compartment is made of opaque plastic which means you won't be able to see the contents. The i4 is also missing some features such as the AI-powered obstacle avoidance and keep-out zones that are found on the j7 or j7+.

However, it has a powerful cleaning system and a pair of rubber brushes that don't get caught in pet hair. It's a great option for homes with high-pile carpets because it can handle more dirt and debris than weaker vacuums. The i4 is also less invasive in terms of maintenance requirements, and has lower costs for recurring maintenance and also has a longer time of operation in its least powerful suction mode than the i7.
