The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots that vacuum and mop. This is helpful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot vacuum cleaner mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was starting and working towards its goal.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to switch between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which can be a pain when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum that mops, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
