WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgrades upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the Item Level upgrade and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item upgrader kit has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through various methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with some new features added. After the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is even if those items are from a different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated can require as much as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The use of these currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
