According to iRobot it reduces the amount dust released into the air. The i5+ is equipped with dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting suction to take care of dust and dirt hair, pet hair, and staining. Simply replace the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.

It's also a good option for homes with carpets that are high-pile because it can take care of the additional dirt and debris better than weaker vacuums. The i4 requires less maintenance and has lower ongoing costs and can run longer in its most suction-free mode.
