The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can select a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best robot vacuum with mapping time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a neato robot vacuum that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can control it even when you're away from home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
