Narwal Robot Vacuum and Mop

Narwal is an relative newcomer to the robot vacuum market. It's a sweeping/mopping hybrid that is pretty impressive. It's expensive and hampered by a slow, clunky learning-curve app.

Features

The Narwal T10 is a combination robot vacuum and mop that is able to sweep, scrub, and clean hard floors. Its innovative navigation and mapping system is based upon simultaneous localization (SLAM) technologies. It also has anti-collision and cliff-sensing technology, which help to prevent the machine from crashing into furniture or falling down stairs. It can also identify and avoid carpets. This is a common problem for many robot vacuum/mop/hybrids.

The Br151 Robot Vacuum is equipped with two large tanks of water: one for clean water and one for dirty. Prior to a mopping cycle, it automatically goes to its base station and pre-soaks its pads with the clean water from the tank. During the mopping cycle, sensors alert you to when it's time for you to change out the pads and refill the water. It consumes 16 ounces of clean water, which is lower than other similar robots.

The T10 will automatically dry the pads after you've cleaned them. This will prevent cross-contamination. It will then resume mopping where it stopped. This eliminates the need to wash your hands by hand this is great as it shields you from germs and allergens. This self-cleaning feature is unique to Narwal, as most competing robots vac/mop hybrids just dunk their mop heads into buckets of dirty water.

The mopping function of the T10 is powered by a motor which rotates the pad three times per second. This gives an extra thorough clean especially around corners and around edges. The rotating pad and the dual side brushes sweep dirt, hair and debris into vacuum slots. This eliminates the need for a dustbin and is much more environmentally green than traditional vacuuming.

You can draw a map for your space and designate specific areas to mop or sweep. You can also select the intensity of cleaning, such as a deep clean that removes dirt and debris for a thorough job. You can also set "no-go" zones, which tell the robot to stay clear of area rugs or other obstacles.

Design

Performance

The Narwal Freo is an awesome robot that does a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors. Its massive water tanks are easy to maintain, and it has a variety of mopping intensity settings. It also has the ability to remove small messes or spills from carpet. The vacuuming capabilities aren't quite as impressive, but. Its 1,800Pa suction power is less than expensive robo-vacuums like the Roborock S6 MaxV Ultra.

Smart technology for navigation and mapping allows the Freo to adapt to the area and plan a cleaning routine that is optimized. It utilizes simultaneous mapping and localization (SLAM) in order to create a map of the area, and then works in a zigzag pattern to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a uniform finish. This map can be shared with Narwal application, which allows you to modify cleaning settings and set no-go areas.

Once the Freo is mapped and mapped, it will continue cleaning the area it left. While it's a decent vacuum/mop set-up However, the Narwal T10 is pricier than the majority of its competitors. Its huge base station home to two 1.3 gallon tanks, which require frequent refills. This can be frustrating, especially if you're used to the more efficient filling tanks of other robots. Its application is also messy and frustrating, and it doesn't offer the kinds of features for customization you'd expect from a more expensive robot.

App
