It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it has some distinctive features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
