WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrade (visit the next site) by +3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same Best item upgrader from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which displays an item's preview at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Crests

Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
