WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade item increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade items also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The Item Upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item upgrade used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which displays an item's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance.
