It's a bit more expensive than other bots that I've tried, however it does a fantastic job of avoiding obstacles and never gets stuck or derailed when working on my floor.

The iRobot J7+ was an excellent obstacle avoidance robot however it didn't always do a great job in avoiding crumbs or dirt on my rugs. It also was prone to over-vacuum certain areas, which resulted in a lot of dust in the filters and a less clean house.

Smart Mapping

The best robot vacuums have an application that lets you customize cleaning modes, create schedules, and see a map of the floor area covered by the machine. This is a useful feature, and one that some competitors lack altogether. This lets you create profiles which will automatically start the robot at specific times and continue to run continuously. For example, it could be cleaning the living area every day, or just before dinner.
