The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best automatic vacuum and mop navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. This can be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some unique features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum best thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
