Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good robot vacuum combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the best robot vacuum and mop crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like chairs and table legs. It also lets the robot cleaner to access furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.

In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a plethora of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
