With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and even has a portion of one of his vehicles.

The special model can be ordered with a standard Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be observed in the cabin. For instance, a Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet features a display with a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft on display inside.

W.O. is emblazoned in the form of a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome application that runs across the back of the vehicle. 's signature front grille, a front grille that is modeled on the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome application that wraps around the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille is also distinctive, with the chrome-colored shell instead of the normal body-colored mesh, which is typical of the standard Mulsanne and incorporating the Flying B logo as well.

The key box is engraved with Bentley wings and has a black flock lining. Individual key pouches can be bought to match or contrast the key box. The commemorative set includes a 1:18 scale model and a flying "B" paperweight. The set also comes with an illustrated booklet that features never-before seen images of the original 1930s bentley replacement key 8 Litre.

The key fob's metal-to-metal knurling mimics the texture of the interior including the temperature controls and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted the knurling to be as consistent and stylish" as we could. It was important to keep the size and shape of fob uniform.

bentley Key Mulliner customers can specify any color from the Bentley portfolio for their Bacalar and any combination of hides, veneers and bespoke embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin using nearly 400,000 stitches. The lighting for mood can also be adjusted for different moods.

Outside, illuminated treadplates and brushed silver clocks are available as standard. The new 22in wheels come with self-levelling Bentley logos. Customers can also request a bespoke Bentley logo laser-etched on the rear fixing to pay homage to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. Edition that was the inspiration for the car. Bentley's "Speed" series is a lot of fun in that it takes the Continental GT's already extravagant lavishness and elevates it to eleven.
