The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.

For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. Unlike last year's model it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other best robotic mop and vacuum cleaners may be unable to pick up.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its course automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto vacuum and mop-refills.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot cleaner with mop is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
