The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something requires attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the Irobot Mopping and Vacuum Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, Irobot Mopping And Vacuum as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best buy robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
