The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
