The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic hoovers vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This results in a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. This includes the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair from pets. It was able capture some of the hair that sheds from our cats. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some lovely jingles that let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot vacuums that mop (click through the next post) or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
