The dust bag should last about 30 loads, or around a month or two, and you'll have to replace the filter once every so often (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very loud when it's in use which makes it a great option for families with pets or children.

The robot doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive models we tested however, it does have all the basics. It has a huge enough dust bin to hold plenty of dirt before it needs emptying, and its vacuum and mop system is perfect for carpets with low pile and hard floors. It's also extremely quiet. We were able to watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like we were being overwhelmed by noise.

Our testers loved how easy it was to install and use, and were amazed by its ability to get all the mess out of their floors. It was effective in getting rid of pet hair, messes and carpeting however it was a bit more difficult at getting rid of stains that were stubborn. They found the app user-friendly and intuitive, and they were able to program the vacuum to be cleaned on a regular basis to cut down on the amount they had to manually do. The one downside is that it doesn't include any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you aren't able to send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips are compatible).

It's also super quiet and comes with a massive dust bin that holds plenty of debris prior quietest to when it needs emptying and you don't have to worry about regularly emptying it.

The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists of trusted sources who perform hands-on tests, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They were impressed with how easy it was to set up and use, however they did note that its battery life was short and it didn't manage to stay clear of some of the most difficult messes we put it through.
