The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept in cleaning hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of the room.

It's still a great option to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also very quiet and you can use it when you're at work or going to school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming that is offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. It also comes with a powerful suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This top-performing mop and vacuum combination utilizes advanced sensors to dodge obstacles and pet waste and it will learn your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones through the well-designed app. Its battery life is average in comparison to similar models.

It did a decent cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different flooring types including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums this feature, which we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combinations.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuums uk vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular design that appears more like the regular Roomba model than the bulky models from the competition. It's among our most attractive looking Robot Vacuums Uk vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot Vacuum best in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and look better. If you're willing some more volume and a little more cost this is a efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes the care of mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection but this wasn't foolproof in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner has the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task. It also comes with an option called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the home based on how dirty the areas are.

If you have a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode. This lets you tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice control. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have number of furniture. For busy families, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be very useful.

It's also highly self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that can be washed.

The iRobot application is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create an automatic spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app also provides access to many options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a strong 8000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for hair of pets. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. It is also louder than other top robot hoover and mop vacuums that we have test. It also has an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
