The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to locate your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning robot mop and vacuum automatically with just one button click. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving on.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the hidden bin and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
