The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
