WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item Upgrade level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players from item upgrades upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example.
