In addition, unlike other vacuums with mopping capabilities, it has object/obstacle detection that avoids items such as bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop).

It also has some outstanding highlights, such as the self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to areas other mops miss. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and customize settings for every room in your home.

Like the S8 It also has multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between laminate, carpets and hardwood with high-pile rugs. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy if you're trying to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to invest extra money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping features it is a great option.

7. Q5 Pro

If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to wet messes, this robot is a great option. It has a wide range of features like the ability to empty the dustbin on its own and the water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's quite quiet and can navigate around furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's smaller than many of its competitors, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a good amount of suction power and it's possible to take a photo of any object it comes across (i.e. chew toys, or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found' in the app so that they aren't picked up during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and aren't tied to your account.

It's great for vacuuming, but not so well in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot, and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that have water reservoirs that can automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
