It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and automatic vacuum and mop. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other debris that other best robotic mop and vacuum cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean the objects without a pause.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum that mops vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available, but it packs in a lot of additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
