The Cots 4 Tots story

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit organization that is a partner in the Marine Corps toy drive. It also provides educational and informational materials to the general public. It also arranges for national companies to include information about Toys for tots and cots in their paid advertisements and also conducts an education and publicity program every year.

The Cots 4 Tots story began in 2010 with a fundraising appeal to Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at St Michael's Hospital. Since its founding the charity has raised tens of thousands of pounds to help families of premature or sick babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its mission is to provide families with accommodation houses as well as the latest equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House serves as a "home away from home" for families in hospital. It is located next to the NICU which allows parents to be close to their children. Since 2012 the charity has helped more than 2,100 families remain at home.
