It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum cleaner best mop and vacuum. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has a number of features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can best automatic vacuum and mop up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
