The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping you must pay attention to this.

Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able capture a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum with mop vacuum that can be found in our review, but it has some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
