If you're looking to save money and don't want a single standing stroller that doubles up as a car seat carrier the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when you are traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate single lightweight stroller buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable to prevent staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be converted to a stroller by 6 months using the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as large or deep as some wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore is solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the smallest of all strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopy sizes.

It took us under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It is really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand recline of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the bumps of everyday life well and went through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position and can also pivot. This is helpful in rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate during our walk on the stony path. It was able to handle this well, even though it felt to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to fold and fits in the boot of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other items.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are durable and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of groceries. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to operate and features a fantastic dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also light and durable.
