The app walks you through the entire process. It's also simple to use and set up. Its ability to restart the same place it left off during our tests is an additional impressive feature. It was able to do this for 77 minute on one cleaning, before the battery ran out.

The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self vacuum emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on the base of its charging once it is full. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it still needs to be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin can hold 2.4L of trash and is enough to last four or five cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.

Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.

Although the i3+ EVO is better in picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best for cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our bed, and also was stuck to cords and toys during our testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

If you're looking to expand your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out with the Q5 Pro is a great choice. It features an elegant design, powerful navigation, and efficient automation at a low cost. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model on sale right now and even matches some of Roborock's much pricier models in many ways.

This robot does a fantastic job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance system helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets the top score in our tests of navigation. The only snag is that it's louder than other models we test and it doesn't do as well in our owners satisfaction or predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin that is 770ml. This means you won't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also extremely generous when compared to other models we've examined. If the battery is depleted it returns to its dock and recharges before continuing cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and make voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations made it perform extremely well in our vacuuming tests and mopping test. You can schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also see the battery status. The app is easy to use, however it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit. That feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of the beginning of November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that the feature will be delayed until 2025. The TP-Link RV30 Plus is easy to set up and can be connected to a variety of floor vacuum robot surfaces with the automatic mode. This model utilizes an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and design efficient cleaning routes. The iMop received high marks for its accuracy and navigation. It also did a great job in avoiding obstacles like furniture. It also has the ability to locate its way back to the base station, which is a nice feature in the event that it's running out of battery during cleaning.

It also has a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop the specific part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a specific path, which is beneficial in narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test it did a good job cleaning carpets. However, it struggled to clean smart robot rugs and carpets with larger piles. It is also able to automatically lift the mop pad whenever it encounters carpet, which is a wonderful feature to not mop your carpets.

The iMop comes with an onboard dust bin as well as a water tank that it empties and refills at the end of each cleaning session. The onboard dust bin holds up to 2.5 liters of debris.
