Its design is an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robot vacuum cleaner for sale than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base best automatic floor cleaner Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic hoovers cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the best cheap robot vacuum easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it is done with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. The station's main selling point is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does it all.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and Best Inexpensive Robot Vacuum a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an outlet for power and plenty of room for it to move around, however.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The main feature that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with the boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
