It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic cleaner and mop vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or robot Vacuums that mop RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and is effective, but this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
