However, there are some upvc handles on the market that do not have the spring cassette and therefore need to be fitted with heavy duty latches or locks. These are more frequent on older upvc doors where the handles have not been upgraded for many years.

This is an additional cost to that of the new upvc handle set and is only necessary in the event that you have older multi-point locks that are fitted to your double-glazed doors. The majority of upvc handles available come with cylinders since they are the most popular size in use.
