Contrary to other robovacs we tested, the i3+ EVO features an automatic emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However it must be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dust bin holds 2.4L of waste and is more than enough to get it through four or five cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

Like the i7, this model also uses the latest floor robot tracking sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, while the i7 is able to store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing surface debris when compared to other robovacs that we have looked at, but it's not the best smart vacuum in cleaning corners and edges. It's also not as gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, as it pushed chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.
