BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The ghost immobiliser tracker uses CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from adding keys or replacing the ECU to bypass your security system since it requires a valid PIN code to begin the engine.

The Ghost is different from other immobilisers in that it doesn't use key-fobs or LED indicators. Instead it uses your vehicle's existing buttons to allow you to enter a unique disarm sequence that you only know.

Stop & Start

If you've ever driven a BMW or used its stop-start feature, you may have noticed the engine continues to run for 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. This is due to the BMW engine management system continuously monitoring your vehicle for signals from the ignition key, and once this signal is detected, it will continue to run. Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a new generation device, doesn't require you to cut OEM wires or add aftermarket alarms and key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with an unique PIN code that can be accessible via buttons in your car. This allows you to enter the key push sequence that isn't found present in the standard menus for media, such as volume up/down and cruise control, source or aircon on, which prevents your car from starting unless this is entered. The PIN is between 4 and 20 characters, making it hard for thieves to figure out.

We can also add to the system the ability to use a service/valet feature. This mode is activated when your car is being serviced so that the Ghost is kept from view by the garage. You can activate this mode by pressing the service button five times on your infotainment system (the system will flash with confirmation) and the Ghost will automatically arm itself when you return.

Service Mode / Valet Mode

It's incredibly discreet and quiet, not to mention stopping even the most zealous thieves from ever trying!

If you are parked at home or in a meet and greet situation in a meeting and greet situation, the Ghost can be set to service mode. This allows you to start the vehicle with your keys, but it stops the engine from starting again until the correct code is entered. This is perfect for customers who must hand over their cars to valet service companies or trusted family members and friends. This allows you to bring your vehicle to the garage for repairs and maintenance, etc. without worrying that it will be modified by a mechanic while you wait.

When the service/valet mode is enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it has been started. This will stop anyone else from driving it while you are away. When you return, the vehicle will return to normal operation and prevent it from being tampered or stolen again.

The Ghost can be fitted to any BMW. All you require are the correct keys, since the device doesn't use the original remotes, but can be used in conjunction with them. Anti-Hijack

Ghost created this subtle device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the increasing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. This will activate the anti-hijack feature and, once it is activated, any attempt to start the engine will be immediately stopped. Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device with your mobile app to enable remote control of keyless start and go functionality. This is helpful if you have to go somewhere else and a mechanic or valet needs to start your vehicle. The system allows you to start the vehicle by selecting drive and then quit the service mode without using your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on the map in real-time using your smartphone.

The Ghost can be fitted under the dashboard or inside the center console. It is completely concealed and tamperproof and does not require any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicles CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a unique PIN code is inserted into it. This pin code needs to be selected before the vehicle starts. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system with the cloned or replaced ECU.

If your vehicle is taken away, the Ghost will go into service mode and disable all functions unless you have a PIN number or use the mobile application to disarm it. This feature was created to protect you vehicle from thieves with high-tech equipment who utilize relay boxes to take it. It also prevents thieves from using their mobile phones to activate your sat-nav or MP3 player to track your vehicle!

Ghost also blocks 'Relay-style Frequency Amplification'. This is the most common way that a vehicle is being taken away with a key-fob that was copied or stolen by hacking. Ghost can help you prevent this kind of theft by installing a device called Secure-A Key inside your vehicle. The device is installed inside the key-fob in your vehicle and disconnects the battery after a couple of minutes of inactivity, this can be done on the majority of modern PKE key-fobs.
