If you're using a portable crib, be sure it's not directly under a window. A window could be an accident hazard for your baby may be injured if they roll into it. Feeding

If you're traveling for business or pleasure, it's important to keep your baby happy and safe while traveling. It is better to buy a bassinet or crib designed for travel instead of using one you already own. These are smaller and with mesh sides that allow parents to check on their babies without disturbing them, and are lightweight enough for easy transportation between locations. They also comply with the safety standards set by the American Academy of Pediatrics and have not been subject to recalls.

If you are required to utilize a crib for your bed it is recommended that your child be placed on their back and the mattress be free of any blankets, pillows and animals stuffed. Sharing the bed with parents isn't advisable for any baby, regardless of age, and this kind of co-sleeping is linked to an increased risk of SIDS.
