It's also prone to become stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxes this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot vacuums uk in our tests that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface, and robot vacuum and mop it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and dries the mop pads.
