2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto vacuum and mop-refilling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. You can change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, change modes, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
