Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and robot vacuum cleaner an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot vacuum cleaner to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition the X40 is quiet in its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuums that mop that is among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuums best mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
