The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot cleaner vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and works well however it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The app was too basic and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuum cleaner is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, robot vacuums that mop which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
