It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.

After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to clean the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. The device also collects dust in a larger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs.
