WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade item gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item Level Upgrade will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which displays an image of the item upgrading when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Crests
