Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

A specific item can be used to develop certain Pokemon. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools to raise their item level upgrade level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools to provide attribute bonuses or other effects while the equipment being used. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has an upgrade slot available. The majority of upgrade components require that the item being upgraded is above a specific level. Some upgrade components also have special effects when they are applied to an equipment piece. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchased from karma merchants, traded with other players on the Trading Post or taken from equipment, or acquired as rewards during games.

There are various upgrade components, each with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions, are able to be used in any type of equipment. They also offer lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enhancements are utilized for certain ascended back items. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item Upgrader Kit, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia could change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an item will be visible in the tooltip of the item upgrader kit.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add functional and decorative elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions or ornaments, as well registered trademark symbols, ellipses, swashes and swashes. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and view these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes as well being trademark symbols that are registered.

Each Glyph gives a character boost in their primary stats. It also includes up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. You can level up Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult a dungeon is, the more Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node for every 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a glyph has been leveled up to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and will also boost all other nodes in its radius on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. The glyphs that are rare could offer double bonuses when certain conditions are satisfied which is why they're worth checking out for too.

If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of views. Each of these views will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the list of glyphs further by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs; Math symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a method in which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to access the character or weapon you are interested in. It can aid in your progress to higher levels or to obtain better loot, such as a better weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like regardless of their strength. This could be due to the fact that they like the character's style or character.

You should ensure that you make clean changes every time you reroll. You should verify locally to see if the patch passes the pre-commit test and run a core dev check. You should also upload the patch to an issue with an unmodified diff (see What about an interdiff? ).

Sets

A set is a collection of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or members of the class). Sets can be used for operations like intersection, union and distinction.

Upgrades make a set item better than it was before. This means that armor and weapons will have a higher defense value and lower requirements for strength.

Upgrades can bring popular items from single sets to parity with items in higher-end sets. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to an Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a lower range.

However it's important to remember that not all set items are candidates for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield spec or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Exceptional and Elite in their own right and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and see frequent use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their stats even more. For these types of products, it might be worth the extra cost to upgrade them.
