It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop to score the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings prior to work or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit costly, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and a little more cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features that will let you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and cleans and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its more expensive competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time however, it wasn't 100% foolproof during our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
