1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ self cleaning vacuum cleaner-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to know if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably a hybrid. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank, vacuum robot meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart robot vacuums mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone, but it's one that will assist you in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are some of the top available however it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing point is how it automates many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your good robot vacuum fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors,, and it doesn't have an dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

If you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic There are many other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The primary aspect that sets the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it started.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
