The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We think this is a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, vacuums it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, vacuums ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best i robot vacuum known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the eufy robot vacuum and mop and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer ilife robot vacuum.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are useful, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
