Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be achieved through many different methods that include using upgrade components and upgrading an item upgrading's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to boost their stats.

Upgradeable items are available in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. Upgrade components are the most common method to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots that can be upgraded and some require a certain amount of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer general bonuses.

There are many types of upgrade elements available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, can be put on any kind of equipment and offer lower bonuses than upgrades that are specific to equipment. Glyphs can only be found in gathering tools. The amount of upgrade components required for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the rarity and level of the item. However, you can reduce the cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant or trading them with other players.

Many weapons can be improved with a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia. Other weapons can be enhanced by adding the suffix. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the name of the item, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or Item Upgrades glyph you don't want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you are looking to remove a glyph from a piece of then you'll need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be retrieved by removing the glyph fragments.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also add a glyph on your equipment to make it more valuable. Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to alter the affixes that are placed on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, such as mysterious boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with a random affix that is generally better than the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon that can be upgraded to increase damage or additional perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item upgrader kit's rarity as well as its level, therefore items with higher levels are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit.
