It's easy to maneuver up and down stairs and can be squeezed through tight spaces such as narrow alleyways, shops and Jane's terrace home. The bumper bar doubles up as a carry handle, and there's a large, flip-flop friendly brake that has a color indicator. The basket is smaller than other models, but it will still hold a large changing bag. There are additional tray compartments for storing snacks, drinks and toys.

It's suitable for babies from the time of birth and can be used with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot or car seat with adaptors (sold separately). For older children, there's a backrest that flattens, making it ideal for extended nap times or walks and the smart magnetic 5-point harness is easy to use. It's also super light at just 6.6kg and comes with a travel bag.

British brand Joie is dedicated to "sharing joy with new parents" and has created pushchairs that are "functional and innovative, as well as stylish". The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is their most recent offering. It's designed to accommodate two children side by side unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin, and has seats that are raised so both children can view the world around them.

With a weight of just under 10kg at just over 10kg, the Evalite Duo is one of the lightest sibling strollers on the market. It is suitable for use starting at birth and is compatible with Joie car seats or carrycots. It's easy to drive, ride, lift and fold, and the clever frame expands to fit the second seat.

Out 'n' about says the Evalite Duo's one-handed folding design is an outstanding feature. They were amazed by how quickly and effortlessly the Evalite Duo comes together. They did note that it was more difficult to navigate rough surfaces and bumps as compared to other models.

The front seat can't fully recline and the parents had to use their own hands to lower it. This is something they would prefer to avoid when traveling with small children. But, they do agree that the Evalite Duo is a great pushchair that can be made perfect with some tweaks. They are impressed by how compact it is when folded.

iCandy Peach

iCandy Peach is a highly-sophisticated tandem buggy that gives parents all the options they require. It is compatible with a variety of car seats and folds up easily by using a Single to Double buggy-click mechanism. It also comes with plenty of accessories that rival brands are charging separately for like liners and rain covers.

It is among the smallest and most feature-packed double buggies on the market and has been awarded numerous awards including Mother & Baby Twin Gold in 2014 and Prima Baby Twin Silver in 2015.

The seats are wide enough to allow children of varying ages to sit comfortably together. They also have an independent reclining so that kids can pick their preferred seating position. The large canopy is equipped with flip-out sun visors, and the storage basket has plenty of space. It accepts two infant car seats when you buy of car seat adapters. It is compatible with almost all brands that are available, which is a huge benefit.

The only downside is the weight. It is hefty at 32.4 pounds and could be difficult to get into and out of the trunk for Grandma. And, it is more expensive than most other side-by-side double buggies. However, it has been made to last and has numerous features for the price. It's a great option for urban parents who don't want to drag around a heavy stroller. The straps are padded, with a 5-point buckle, and straps with padding make it safe for infants.

Bugaboo Donkey twin

The Bugaboo Donkey Twin is a beautiful, functional buggy with elegant design. It's a premium product, but it's not without its flaws.

It provides very few additional features, both for parents and the kids. The only thing that is provided by the tiny side bin is that it can only be used only when one seat in the car is attached. There are no cup holders, parent trays or accessory pockets. This could be a problem on long trips.

The seats aren't very flat and the gap between the seats is quite large. Our 5-year-old had difficulty sitting back comfortably. It's a shame given that this is a luxury vehicle.

It's simple to maneuver and the swivel wheel is ideal for climbing up stairs and slopes. It's also slim enough to fit in most doors and folds easily for storage and transportation. Additionally, it can be turned back to mono mode in just three clicks should you require more space or want to make a quick getaway. It can even accommodate a third kid with the comfort wheeled boards if you're required to. It's expensive, but when you're on a tight budget, there are alternatives out there. If you love the brand and can afford it, it's well worth the price.
